If you’re using Safari on your Mac, there are two ways to view the history of websites you’ve visited. The first is through the standard menu bar icon and shortcut key combination: ⌘+H. When selected, this will show a list of all sites that you have visited from that point forward—it’s similar to how Chrome shows your browsing history if you use Google’s browser. However, if you want more detail than just time spent on specific pages or sites within those pages, then there’s also an extension called History On which gives you access to this data in a more visual way (see below).
How to See Incognito History on Mac
To view your incognito history, open the history tab. Click on the “show all” button in this window and a new window will appear displaying your browsing activity.
The information that’s displayed includes:
- The date/time of each page you visited (if available)
- A list of URLs visited during incognito mode (if any)
The page title (if available) The page description (if available) The URL of the page you visited prior to opening incognito mode

- Open Safari
- Go to History
- Click on the Incognito tab
You should now see your browsing history for that session.
If you want to clear your history, click on the 3 vertical dots in the corner of the screen and select “Clear History.” A pop-up will ask you if you want to clear all.
